Kadirya Kiyim, a 28-year-old Uygur woman with seven years of tailoring experience, founded her own brand, “DiZuo Tailoring.” In 2023, she opened her physical store on Park Street in Yining City, Xinjiang. As she pursued her dream of tailoring, she seamlessly incorporated traditional Uygur silk, known as Atlas, into her designs, including horse-face skirts and various other garments. Through her creations, she not only made the once elusive Atlas fabric accessible in everyday wardrobes but also used social media to introduce and educate a wider audience about Atlas culture.
