Alexander Zazulin, a native of Russia, has lived in Liuxing Street, Yining City, Xinjiang, since the time of his ancestors. From a young age, he developed a passion for the accordion, mastering its playing, repair, collection, and preservation. His accordion repair shop, which opened in 1991, has become well-known both locally and internationally. Over the past 40 years, he has collected more than 800 accordions from over 20 countries. With the support of the local government, the Alexander Accordion Museum was established in Liuxing Street, spanning 1,200 square meters, where every accordion tells its own story and history. In 2013, he was personally awarded the title of “Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor of Russian Bayan Art” in Xinjiang. Throughout his life, the accordion has been his soulmate, and in his museum, each accordion whispers its music across time.
